Progress Report 10/05/01

(1) We have almost completed the labelling phase of the IViE project. The final version of the corpus will contain approximately 4 hours of prosodically labelled speech data and approximately 36 hours of speech data in all. A selection of these data will be made available on CD and on the internet by March 2002.

(2) At present, the IViE Beta-CD are available via ftp and on CD-ROM. Additionally, we are developing an on-line version of the complete IViE corpus. Users will be able to search the corpus for a subset of audio files and listen to the files on the web. The files can then be downloaded and saved. IViE audio files can be sorted by variety, speaking style, gender or speaker initials.
